This book is about my sister Phyllis who at the of 18 was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s stage II. She was a very strong willed, determined person who never took no for an answer. Whenever someone said that she couldn’t do something it just made her try harder, and prove those people wrong. When younger and even into her teens she was always getting into mischief. This book is about her youth but most importantly the challenges she faced during her remission with cancer. Although she passed away at 47 her hope was that maybe someone could learn a little from her experiences and her determination and will power.

In 2013, Author M Y Fisher set out on a mission to discover the beginnings of her family. From there she found out that she was a direct descendant of one of the founding families of Pikeville, Bledsoe County, Tennessee. While coming across so much improperly documented and confusing information, Ms. Fisher decided to compile her verified family history findings into a book. The intention is for those with a slight interest in southern genealogy to those who are familiar with the history of this particular branch of the family to enjoy the photos and information with ease.
